The UNU work on migration

A short history of the UNU-Migration Network

The United Nations University (UNU) is the academic organ of the United Nations with 13 satellite institutes, training centres and programs that work on various themes. These themes include health, migration, innovation, natural resources and energy.
In 2012 heads of institutes and the UNU Rector decided to create a platform that will allow researchers of the various institutes to work together on migration. On top of being one of the areas of investigation of our Chair, migration is studied at the UNU Institute on Globalization, Culture and Mobility in Barcelona, Spain.

In June 2013 the UNU-Migration Network was launched (http://migration.unu.edu/) and currently it has members pulled from 5 UNU institutes including UNU Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS). The UNU Migration Network has held four meetings since its creation.

The last one was held on 17 October 2014 at UNU-CRIS.  UNU International Institute of Global Health UNU-IIGH will organise the next meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 13 January 2015.

Here is a gallery of the last meeting. See you in Malaysia!
